Johnson wants all pupils in England back at school from September

Along with the reduced alert level, and a warning that the pandemic has not gone away, the government is planning to get children of all ages in England to be back at school by September for a full five days a week.

The Prime Minister suggested that social distancing restrictions may be changed to help that happen.

New guidelines for schools will be issued within two weeks, along with a £1 billion plan to help pupils catch up on lost learning.
