The judge leading Scotland’s Covid-19 inquiry has promised to carry out a “robust investigation” into how the Scottish government handled the pandemic, as well as identifying key lessons to be learned.

After today’s initial hearing, the first phase of the inquiry – starting in October – will focus on health and social care, with people most affected by the response invited to give evidence.
