Junior doctors to go on strike over pay in England

Thousands of junior doctors have voted to go on strike for 72 hours next month in a dispute over pay.

The Health Secretary called the vote “deeply disappointing”, but the leaders of the British Medical Association’s junior doctors’ committee said the government only had itself to blame.

Of almost 37,000 votes cast, 98% were in favour of strike action.
