Keir Starmer forced to water down leadership rules ahead of annual Labour party conference in Brighton

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has arrived in Brighton for the party’s annual conference, saying he wanted to “set out our vision for the future”.

But he’s already been forced to water down major plans to reform the party’s leadership rules after running into stiff opposition from colleagues.
