Keir Starmer meets with Labour’s Muslim MPs as 150 councillors call for ceasefire

Sir Keir Starmer has been meeting Labour’s Muslim MPs amid a backlash over some of his statements on Israel and Gaza.

More than 150 councillors have signed a letter urging the Labour leadership to back an “immediate ceasefire”.

In his latest statement, Sir Keir said aid supplies into Gaza must be “urgently ramped up” and said he supported calls for a humanitarian pause.
