Kevin Spacey ‘humbled’ by not guilty verdict at sexual assault trial

The Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey said he was “humbled” by the outcome of his trial, after he was cleared of sexually assaulting four men.

Mr Spacey wiped tears from his eyes as the verdicts were read out, embracing his legal team and mouthing “thank you” to the jury at Southwark Crown Court.

He had described the allegations against him as “madness” and a “stab in the back”, calling Sir Elton John and David Furnish as witnesses in his defence.
