Key recommendation in children’s care review rejected

One of the key recommendations from the “once in a generation” review into children’s care has already been rejected.

Ministers had been told to give people who’ve been in care the same protection under equality laws as LGBTQ people and those with disabilities.

But we understand the government has refused that call and it will not be included in reform plans, due to be unveiled next week.
