Labour and Lib Dems promise extra childcare support as Tories pledge more GPs

Childcare has been top of the agenda for both the Liberal Democrats and Labour today.

35 hours a week of free care for all is the Liberal Democrats offer, while Labour has pledged 30 hours a week for all two to four-year-olds, and it says it will open a thousand new Sure Start centres.
