Labour MP Apsana Begum not guilty of housing fraud

Labour MP Apsana Begum has been cleared of housing fraud, saying the case against her had been driven by “malicious intent” and had caused “great distress and damage” to her reputation.

Tower Hamlets council in east London had brought the action relating to her application for council housing between 2013 and 2016.
