Las Vegas shooting: the story of one man who rescued more than two dozen people

When Stephen Paddock opened fire from the window of his Las Vegas hotel room onto thousands of people on the country music festival below, those who could, ran from the danger.

But one young man, with Army medical training, ran toward it.  Bailey Thompson had bought his ticket from a friend who couldn’t go, an hour before the concert.

By the night’s end, he’d saved more than two dozen lives, in the back of his truck. A truck that Bailey Thompson, at 17 years old, is barely old enough to drive.

A warning – there are images from the scene of the attack in this report.
