Leading pro-democracy activists arrested in Hong Kong

Police have arrested 15 of the Hong Kong’s most high-profile pro-democracy activists.

Many of them were accused of organising or taking part in the protests that rocked the Chinese territory last year.

With gatherings banned due to the coronavirus outbreak, Beijing has used the opportunity to reassert its authority in Hong Kong.
