Team GB fights off Sweden and New Zealand to secure the second silver medal of the Games.

Strong performances from Mary King and Tina Cook to secure the medal set up an exciting individual eventing final in the afternoon.

Chinese gold medallist swimmer Ye Shiwen has denied taking performance-enhancing drugs, after a US swim coach described her world-record win as “disturbing” and “unbelievable”. Ye says: “The Chinese team keep very firmly to the anti-doping policies, so there is absolutely no problem.”
