Lucy Letby trial: police found note in nurse’s home saying ‘I am evil, I did this’

A nurse accused of murdering seven babies at a neonatal unit wrote notes reading, ‘I am evil’ and ‘I killed them on purpose,’ Manchester Crown court has heard.

Lucy Letby denies murdering the babies and attempting to kill 10 others over the course of a year at the Countess of Chester hospital.

The defence told the court that she was a “dedicated nurse” and in “no way did she want to harm them”.
