Majority of care homes in one part of England have no coronavirus tests, survey suggests

While the government has insisted that there has not been a large scale transfer of infected patients from hospitals into care homes, it has confirmed today that more than a third of homes in England – nearly 6,000 of them – have reported suspected Covid-19 outbreaks.

This programme has carried out a survey of care home managers in one part of England. This shows that the majority of them have not been able to access tests for new residents.
