Malaysia’s ex-PM jailed for 12 years after corruption trial exposes massive fraud network

A court in Malaysia has sentenced the country’s former Prime Minister to 12 years in jail for breach of trust, money laundering and abuse of power.

This is the first of five cases against Najib Razak, in which he’s accused of embezzling nearly a billion pounds.

The investigation of the affair has exposed a web of fraud and corruption extending around the globe.
