Police investigating the murders of three men who were hit by a car while protecting shops and homes from looters have charged a 29-year-old man with murder.
Haroon Jahan, 21, and brothers Shazad Ali, 30, and Abdul Musavir, 31, died in the early hours of 10 August during riots in the Winson Green area of Birmingham.
West Midlands Police said the 29-year-man, who was arrested on Tuesday afternoon, was charged on Wednesday with murder and will appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
A second man, also 29, who was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the deaths was bailed pending further inquiries, police said.
