Margaret Ferrier faces 30-day suspension for Covid train journey

The MP who travelled by train from London to Glasgow – after testing positive for Covid – should be suspended from the Commons for 30 days, according to the standards watchdog.

Margaret Ferrier – who sits as an independent after losing the SNP whip – was found to have put the public at risk when she made the rule-breaking journey early in the pandemic.
