Mass Covid testing to be used to get England’s students home for Christmas

More than a million university students across Britain will be encouraged to get rapid coronavirus tests before they return home for Christmas.

Northern Ireland’s government is yet to publish its guidance to students.

Elsewhere, in-person teaching will end early and campuses will introduce staggered departure dates to make sure there isn’t overcrowding.
