May urges MPs to back her Brexit deal ahead of crucial vote

Political Editor

In less than 24 hours MPs will be voting on Theresa May’s Brexit deal.

She warned her Remain-supporting opponents that if it’s defeated on Tuesday, that could mean leaving with no deal.

But she had a different warning for no-deal supporters. They were told that the Commons might block Brexit altogether.

The Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn said that despite delaying the vote, the Prime Minister had failed to get anything more than warm words from the EU on the Northern Ireland backstop.

The Democratic Unionist party agreed.
