For too long the menopause has been treated as a “dirty little secret” surrounded by taboo.
Now, thanks to a campaign led by the Labour MP Carolyn Harris, the government has agreed to set up a menopause task force and cut prescription charges in England for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).
As she welcomed the move, Ms Harris said it was just the beginning of what she called the “menopause revolution” looking after “wonderful women”.
