Meta scraps ‘biased’ fact checkers ahead of Trump presidency

Mark Zuckerberg is planning to team up with Donald Trump to “push back” against what he called the EU’s “ever increasing number of laws institutionalising censorship”.

In practice this means dropping third-party fact checkers in the US and the rest of the world, but not in the EU or here in the UK, where that move could be challenged in court.

So is Zuckerberg following where Musk has led, aligning the world’s biggest social media giants with the world’s most powerful man?
