Michael Matheson faces Scottish parliament suspension over £11,000 iPad bill

John Swinney was trying to kick start the SNP’s election campaign this afternoon –  but ended explaining why he didn’t think one of his colleagues should be suspended from the Scottish Parliament. Michael Matheson, who racked up  thousands in data charges on his parliamentary iPad while abroad, was sanctioned by a Holyrood committee this morning.

Police then decided to issue an update on their investigation into SNP party finances.
