Mikhail Gorbachev funeral held in Moscow as Putin ‘too busy’ to attend

Thousands of Russians have queued in Moscow to pay tribute to the last man to rule over the USSR.

But no state funeral for Mikhail Gorbachev who brought new freedoms to his country, freedoms which President Putin has been steadily eroding.

Today, Mr Putin was ‘too busy’ to attend the funeral service.
