Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed says his soldiers are pushing back rebel forces in a drive to reclaim territory captured by Trigrayan troops.
The government says it’s taken back Chifra in the Afar region, Gashena in Amhara, and is now pushing towards the strategic town of Dessie.
The government has been battling northern rebel forces for over year, in a war which has killed thousands of people and displaced millions more.
