More than 150 people have now been charged in court over the recent riots, according to the Ministry of Justice, which said 118 had been remanded behind bars.
At least a dozen were jailed – some for stirring up racial hatred on social media, while police warned there would be more arrests to come.
Sir Keir Starmer said the speed of the legal process – including sentencing – would deter others from getting involved in any future disorder.
