Mortgages to rise £500 every month for a million households

A million UK households are set to see their mortgage payments jump by a painful £500 a month over the next three years, according to the Bank of England.

It warned it will take some time for the full impact of high interest rates to come through. But it believes the consequences won’t get as bad as during the Financial Crisis of 2008.
