Now the ruling junta is being blamed for denying the population oxygen and medical care amid a surge of the Delta Covid variant.

With only a fraction of people in Myanmar having been vaccinated and medical staff hounded from their jobs, the sick are being left to die at home or on the streets and makeshift morgues are overflowing.
