Presidential elections in Ecuador are going to a run off – after no candidate managed to get enough votes in the first round to be declared the winner.
Leftist Luisa Gonzales, who’s a protege of the country’s former president Correa, will face centrist Daniel Noboa.
But the campaign has been overshadowed by growing violence, with a leading anti-corruption campaigner shot dead earlier this month as he left a campaign rally.
