National Living Wage to rise almost 10 per cent to £11.44 per hour

The National Living Wage is going up to £11.44 an hour, and the higher rate will apply to workers aged 21 and 22 for the first time.

The new changes have been revealed ahead of the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement, and hopes that he might have a bit more money to give away have been given a boost too, with new figures showing the government is borrowing much less this year than expected.
