Netanyahu pledges to annex Jewish settlements in West Bank

Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged to annex Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank – if he wins his country’s elections on Tuesday – in what’s being seen as an attempt to rally his nationalist supporters in a tight race. His Likud party is neck and neck in the polls.
