NHS at 75: The advances that have transformed breast cancer survival

Today the National Health Service turned 75.

At Westminster Abbey the Prime Minister praised three quarters of a century of ‘taking care of us through the toughest times but also through moments of joy and hope’.

But with the NHS facing record waiting lists, strikes, and staff shortages, new polling shows that more people are turning to private healthcare or funding their own care rather than wait for treatment.
