NHS targets: How do you keep patients out of A&E?

When it comes to meeting its targets, the NHS in England has had one of the worst winters on record. And that’s prompting hospitals to look at different ways of dealing with patients.

OneTrust in West London has set up a project focused on patients who repeatedly attend A&E to find out why they’re coming in, and how to help them not to need to.

As our Health and Social Care Correspondent Victoria MacDonald found out, it’s a scheme that goes well beyond the traditional boundaries of medical care.
