NI: appeal for parties to work together

Ministers have appealed to nationalists and unionists in Northern Ireland to come together to avert a looming political crisis. The Northern Ireland Secretary, James Brokenshire, told MPs that the resignation of Sinn Fein’s Deputy First Minister, Martin McGuinness, in a row over a botched heating project would almost certainly mean a snap general election.
