Nicola Bulley died of drowning, inquest told

When Nicola Bulley went missing in January, the case attracted conspiracy theorists and armchair detectives.

Lancashire Police said they believed no one else was involved and that she’d tragically fallen into a river.

Defending an apparent failure to make progress with their investigation, they released controversial details about her mental state and claims about her struggles with alcohol.

Today, an inquest into her death began hearing evidence.
