Krishnan Guru-Murthy: The Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has been setting out his party’s pledges – including sweeping tax cuts, slashing immigration – and scrapping the UK’s Net Zero targets.
At their launch event in South Wales, the party refused to call it a manifesto – describing it as a contract instead.
But economists have already cast doubt on the plans – with the Institute of Fiscal Studies think tank warning that Reform’s costings were out, to the tune of tens of billions of pounds a year.
