Nigel Farage to stand in general election – and becomes Reform UK leader

Krishnan-Guru Murthy: ‘Labour wanted to talk about defence today, the Conservatives wanted to talk about what they call ‘confusion’ over the legal definitions of sex and gender.

Nigel Farage, however, wanted the talk to be about him – throwing a curveball into the election by announcing he’d take over as Reform UK leader and stand for parliament in Clacton.
