Nikki Haley quits Republican presidential race and refuses to back Trump

It’s the rematch few voters said they wanted, but the votes cast yesterday on Super Tuesday have effectively locked in a US Presidential election contest between Joe Biden and Donald Trump in November.

They dominated their respective party primaries, and Mr Trump’s only remaining Republican rival Nikki Haley has now quit the race.

She congratulated him, but pointedly stopped short of an endorsement.
