Nobel Peace Prize winner John Hume dies

The Nobel peace laureate John Hume, who was instrumental in bringing about the Northern Ireland peace process, has died at the age of 83.

Tributes have poured in from political leaders past and present, including the former US President Bill Clinton who praised his “unshakeable commitment to non violence, kindness and love”.
