‘Nothing’s been learned’: A mum’s fight for justice after Libby Squire’s murder in 2019

The mother of murdered student Libby Squire has told MPs that tougher sentences are needed for crimes such as indecent exposure, to stop potential rapists and killers.

21-year-old Libby was abducted, raped and murdered while walking home from a club in Hull five years ago. The judge who jailed her killer said he’d been emboldened after getting away with a string of non-contact sexual offences.
