Number of migrants crossing English Channel to reach UK ‘deeply concerning’, immigration minister says

The immigration minister says the number of migrants crossing the English Channel in recent days is “deeply concerning”. Twenty three migrants were involved in three separate rescues on the Kent coast overnight and this morning. It comes after more than forty migrants were picked up on Christmas day.
