Obama heckled at LGBT White House reception

The president was quick to interrupt the heckler, saying: “Listen you’re in my house… it’s not respectful.”

President Barack Obama was interrupted by a heckler while giving a speech at the White House on Wednesdsay. The event was in recognition of LGBT Pride Month.

The heckler, Jennicet Gutiérrez, said she was shouting for the president to release LGBTQ immigrants from detention and stop deportations.

The president responded: “Listen you’re in my house… it’s not respectful.”

He joked that he was usually all right with hecklers, but not by a person “eating the hors d’oeuvres… and drinking the booze”.
