‘Once in a lifetime find’ of 60 ancient skeletons near Leeds for Yorkshire Archaeologists

It’s been described as a find of potentially massive significance.

When archaeologists began to excavate a development site in Garforth, on the eastern edge of Leeds, they knew they might find something.

But they had little idea they would uncover a “once in a lifetime” find, shedding new light on the development of Ancient Britain.
