2mOne in 75 people in England has Covid
Covid cases have been rising in almost every region of England – 1 in 75 people now have the virus – although the rate of increase does appear to be slowing down.
Latest figures show another 36,389 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. Another 64 deaths were reported – that’s up 45% since the previous week.
Just 43,000 people got their first Covid vaccine yesterday while more than 174,742 people got their second jab.
