One of Russia’s biggest attacks on Ukraine: hundreds of drones and missiles fired

It was one of Russia’s biggest attacks of the war: more than 200 missiles and drones launched at towns and cities across Ukraine during the night and into the day.

Part of Kyiv’s main hydro-electric dam was hit, triggering a fire.

Ukrainian officials said 15 provinces across the country came under attack overnight, including the capital Kyiv, where water and power supplies were disrupted.

Six people were killed in five separate regions – from Volyn in the west to Zaporizhzhia in the southeast.
