Pakistan floods: One third of country is under water

Flooding in Pakistan has claimed more than a thousand lives since the monsoon began in June.

Today the United Nations launched an emergency appeal, with the Secretary General saying the country is “awash in suffering”  as it faces a “monsoon on steroids”.
