Palestinians flee south as Israeli forces storm Gaza City neighbourhood

Israeli forces have stormed a neighbourhood of Gaza City – killing at least 8 people and wounding many more – with families having to desperately flee from air strikes.

Tanks rolled into the Shejaiya district of Gaza’s main city early afternoon after overnight bombing. They ordered displaced Palestinians to move south along Salah Al-Din Road even as they bombed the southern city of Rafah, where they say they’re in the final stages of their operation against Hamas.
