Ellie Simmonds returns to the Aquatics Centre today, hoping to claim a third gold medal of the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Simmonds (pictured, left) will race in the heats, and hopefully final, of the S6 100m freestyle alongside ParalympicsGB team-mate Natalie Jones. She has already won golds in the SM6 200m medley and the S6 400m freestyle, as well as a bronze.
Simmonds, who has dwarfism, won a gold at the 2008 Beijing Games in the 100m freestyle, aged just 13. She also won a gold in the event at the 2010 IPC World Championships. Jones has also won a medal at the 2012 Games, picking up a bronze in the 200m medley.
There will be seven swimmers competing for ParalympicsGB tomorrow including other medal winners Louise Watkin and Mathew Whorwood.
The Paralympics Stadium could also be the site for further ParalympicsGB medals, with the best hope coming from Welsh javelin thrower Nathan Stephens (pictured, right).
Stephens, who is a leg amputee, won gold in the F57 javelin competition at the World Championships in New Zealand last year. It is his second Paralympic Games, having finished fourth in the javelin at Beijing.
Paralympic debuts wil be made in the stadium by Rhys Jones and Jamie Carter in the 100m sprints under the T37 and T34 classifications.

Today will also feature the end of the road cycling at Brands Hatch. Lora Turnham will compete in the final of the B class road race for visually impaired athletes and David Stone, who has won a London 2012 bronze already, will race in the mixed T 1-2 road race.
However, the main event of the night wil be in a (no doubt packed) Paralympic Stadium at 9:57pm. That is when Oscar Pistorius will race in the final of the T44 400m.
The 400m is Pistorius’ preferred race and his is definitely favourite for gold – especially as his main rival, Brazil’s Alan Oliveira, was displaying signs that he might be injured in his heat yesterday.
