Passengers rush for last trains before Christmas as RMT strike begins

Almost all Christmas Eve train services have ground to a halt, with the latest round of RMT rail strikes due to start tonight.

On some routes the last services ran as early as 8am this morning while rail passengers who managed to get a train faced delays and short notice cancellations.
