Pensioners biggest winners in tax, benefits and spending since 2010 – Resolution Foundation

When it comes to tax, benefits and spending, pensioners have been the big winners since 2010, according to the Resolution Foundation think tank.

It’s been looking at intergenerational fairness and found that working-age households have seen their benefits cut, while more money is going to the over-65s as people live longer.

And it warned that politicians are intensifying this shift by continuing to push up pensions with the Triple Lock.
