Parks, beaches and other public spaces around the country are being closed down – while the authorities in areas like Yorkshire, the Lake District and rural Wales are urging non residents to stay away – saying the numbers of people flouting orders to avoid social contact at a time of crisis was ‘simply unacceptable’.
